As a certified Laughter Leader trained by Sebastien Gendry, founder of The American School of Laughter Yoga, Ron has launched Clark County’s first Laughter Therapy program (Club) for adults: VANCOUVER LAUGHTER YOGA.
Through individual Laughter Therapy and Laughter Clubs, the health benefits for all are catching on. Laughing is one of life’s greatest joys and when we laugh we feel energized and refreshed and ready to take on the world. Laughing unites people of every race, religion and nationality and allows friendships to form where none previously existed. There are many forms of laughter and all these moments of laughter help us get through to the next moment in our already hectic lives. Rarely do we find enough time to laugh during an average day.

Laughter Therapy originated in India where laughter clubs are a part of everyday life. This concept of laughter for health was pioneered by Dr. Madan Kataria (a surgeon) who is a proponent and teacher of various laughter/ healing/ health methods. Sebastien Gendry is the C.E.O. of the American School Of Laughter Yoga, the oldest and largest provider of Laughter Yoga education in North America. A passionate and charismatic individual he played a major role in helping introduce Laughter Yoga in the USA. He is also one of the top leading Laughter Yoga experts in the world. He served for 2.5 years (2005-2007) as World Operations Director for Laughter Yoga International and will be, together with 2 of his students, the first Master Laughter Yoga Teacher after Dr Kataria to train Laughter Yoga Teachers (trainers of trainers) as of 2011. He was the first to introduce Laughter Yoga in Russia in 2008. Now laughter clubs are popping up in communities all over the world and thousands of people are reaping the benefits of this unique and fun system of health. Laughter Therapy Workshops
Laughter Workshops are incredible and provide light to moderate laughter exercise for mental & physical flexibility, enhanced performance at work, mood regulation, stress reduction and attitude boost. In other words, a real therapeutic ally. This extremely fun, educational and energizing workshop will leave you feeling electric and ready to face the challenges of every day life. The program works well in corporations, schools, senior communities, long term care and hospitals, workplaces, fitness centers, and support communities, libraries, and public parks. A typical group participating in a laughter workshop is between 5-25 people, but can be larger. Our workshops are a safe, non–judgmental and comfortable place to express yourself and laugh out loud.
